  Great food from a family run business. Authentic souvlaki and generous portions; its one of my favourite lunch spots.

  I have been going to the Souvlaki Pit aka Ace Submarine since I was 15 (43 years ago).  Today I have decided to never go there again.  The daughter yells at customers and treats people badly.  I've seen it....today was my turn.  Called ahead because I have a timed lunch and they are slow with service, so calling ahead ensured time to actually eat my lunch.  She told me to call back closer to when I would be there..."it's too confusing for us".  Call 15 minutes before you get here.  I said, it takes us longer than 15 minutes to get there...she hung up.  Called back 20 minutes later, as requested, the father answered the phone, also rude. I asked for it in a take-out container, so it didn't matter...when we got there, she had it on a plate, "cause we always eat in the restaurant", she obviously knew who we were and it has been bothering her for some time....Many times the order is wrong, overlooked it.  Last time, she was angry at a man and his child....twitching eye, yelling "everybody just be happy" and when asked what was wrong (by me), she said "nothing, I just can't stand that guy".  Can't use interac (nothing to do with the food), but very inconvenient because I never carry cash.  When you get $20 dollars from the machine, they want you to look for closer change.  Obviously couldn't care less about their customers.  Today, got the "twitching eye" and the daughter not speaking, obviously angry.  Made to feel very uncomfortable while I ate my lunch, that I paid for (and went through quite a lot to order it).  Needless to say, while I have enjoyed their food, I have not enjoyed their service.  Restaurant has declined in cleanliness and service over the years...I have decided to never go back there.  I will find another place for pork souvlaki and greek salad where they are at least civil to their customers...maybe I will even make it myself.  I have recommended them in the past, but I also will not recommend them in the future.

  I've seen this place for a few years and finally got to try out their food.  I have to say the service was very slow, the pork was overcooked, dry, flavorless, the poutine was not tasty, a salty-sauce lacking flavor.  They do have customers coming in for take away orders, mostly middle aged.  Open daily 10am-9pm, cash only, parking lot.
